The Northern Region Minister designate, Abdallah Abubakar believes full implementation of the Dagbon roadmap is the surest way for peace in the troubled region.
The roadmap was developed by the Asantehene led three eminent chiefs constituted to help resolve the ethnic conflict between the Abudus and Andanis in the Northern Region.
However the roadmap has yet to be implemented a situation that is gradually provoking tension in the area.
The Abudus are threatening to forcibly enter the Gbewa Palace to organise the funeral rites of their late chief, Naa Mahamadu Abdulai, a threat that has been countered by the Andanis.
Addressing the critical matter during his vetting, Wednesday, the Minister applauded the work of the Otumfuo commitee.
I personally believe the eminent chiefs led by Otumfour Osei Tutu is doing a good job. I had the opportunity to sit in and observe the process some few days back when they were in Kumasi.
"I notice that the roadmap that has been established if implemented the problem can be solved," he said.
He added that he will provide information to the eminent chiefs for speedy resolution of the matter when he is confirmed as minister.
