The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is calling on its members and identifiable groups to submit written proposals for changes to the Party's Constitution, in line with Article 19(a) of the NPP Constitution.
In a statement issued today, April 25, the Party emphasized: “Through this formal communication, the Party is requesting its Members and Identifiable Groups who wish to propose amendments to the NPP Constitution to submit their written proposals to the Party.”
The Party outlined the submission process, stating that proposals can be sent to the Office of the General Secretary at the Party Headquarters, submitted directly to the Constitutional Amendment Committee through the Committee’s Secretary, or sent via email to nppconstitutionalamendment@gmail.com.
“The deadline for all submissions is Friday, May 9,” the statement further noted.
The Party also reaffirmed that, as previously announced, it will hold an Extraordinary National Delegates Conference in July 2025, as per Article 10(2)(8) of the Party Constitution.
The primary objective of the conference will be to review and discuss the proposed amendments, which will be presented as motions for adoption.
“The Party anticipates receiving constitutional reform proposals from its members, the approval of which will lead to a revised Constitution that addresses both structural and critical issues facing the Party,” the statement concluded.
