The flabgear, Nana Akufo-Addo, leadership and entire membership of the New Patriotic Party would like to extend its deepest condolences to the families of the 27 persons who lost their lives in the tragic accident that happened at Senya Beraku on Tuesday, 27th December 2011.
Our heart also goes out to the over 30 persons who were injured and currently recuperating at the Winneba Government Hospital.
The doctors who have helped bring relief and saved the lives of victims at the hospital deserve commendation. Volunteers and good Samaritans alike who have, in their own small way, helped victims of families of this tragic disaster also deserve mention.
We urge the affected families to be strong in these trying times and ask that the National Disaster Management Organisation, District Chief Executive of the Awutu Senya District and the Member of Parliament of the constituency to come to the aid of the affected families and provide immediate relief.
In this festive season, we also urge our drivers to be mindful of road traffic rules and ensure that lives are protected during his period and throughout the coming year.
Signed
Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie
General Secretary
