The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday acclaimed president Akufo-Addo as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2020 general elections.
The event at the Alisa Hotel in Accra also saw the NPP flagbearer name his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo; wife of the Vice president, Samira Bawumia; Senior Minister, Osafo Maafo and former president J.A. Kuffour were some of the dignitaries present at the event.
