Some Youth groups and individuals in the Northern Region have applauded President Nana Akufo Addo for appointing Felicia Tetteh as the Northern Regional Director of the Ghana School Feeding Programme.
Addressing a press conference in Tamale, one of the groups, the United Patriot, described the appointment as well deserved and called on all to support Madam Felicia Tetteh to deliver on her mandate.
The United Patriot said President Nana Akufo-Addo had rekindled the hopes of the people in the region that hard work pays and that if people are committed and serve the party they will be rewarded.
Mr Issahaku Ibrahim Baba also known as Azobangli described Madam Felicia’s appointment as putting a round peg in a round hole.
He however condemned attacks on Madam Felicia by the coalition of NPP Youth Groups Tamale that she is not a native of the region and so does not deserve the appointment.
He also rubbished claims that she is not known by the grassroot of the party and questioned where they were when Madam Felicia joined in the door to door campaign and used her resources for the party’s activities.
Meanwhile the Chairman of the Coalition of Youth groups Abdul Shakur Ali has distanced the coalition from the press conference held by the NPP Youth groups.
