Kumasi Academy has prevailed over Archbishop Porter Girls' SHS and Presby SHS, Suhum to qualify for the quarter-final stage of this year's National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
Kumaca sealed their victory at the end of the contest with 49 points, leaving Archbishop Porter Girls' and Presby SHS with 31 points and a point respectively.
Round 3’s ‘Problem of the day’ proved a tough feat as all three schools scored zero.

Porters was defeated in the prelims by Takoradi SHS but qualified as one of the 15 top runners-up to join the one-eighth stage; yet, their ambition of winning the coveted prize got thwarted by Kumasi Academy.
