Accra Academy secured an easy victory in the Greater Accra Regional Championship finals slot of the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
They defeated competition from Accra Girls SHS and Accra High School on Thursday night to progress to the finals of the regional championship.
Accra Academy, who failed to qualify for the 2023 quarter-finals after a defeat by the 8-time record champions, PRESEC, once again showcased their academic prowess.

Despite dominating the entire contest, they faced formidable opposition from Accra Girls and Accra High School in a fierce clash of intellect and knowledge.
Accra Academy took an early lead in the first round of the competition, amassing 18 points. Accra Girls SHS followed in second place with 14 points, while Accra High School lagged with 12 points.
The intensity of the competition heightened in the second round, with all schools demonstrating their intellectual skills. However, Accra Academy maintained their lead, securing additional points to reach 29, with Accra Girls SHS at 20 points and Accra High School at 9 points.

In the third round, none of the schools managed to secure additional points, keeping their scores unchanged from the previous round.
The atmosphere grew even more intense as the contest entered its final round.
With determination and teamwork, Accra Academy surged ahead, scoring a whopping 42 points to secure their place in the regional championship finals. Accra Girls SHS followed in second place with 33 points, while Accra High School trailed with 22 points.
