In a highly anticipated clash that reignited a long-standing rivalry, Winneba Senior High School emerged victorious once more in an epic battle against Mfantsiman Girls' SHS at the Regional Qualifiers of the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
The two schools who are no strangers to each other, faced off in a contest that determined not only their current standings but also serve as a chapter in their storied history.
Having failed to qualify for the nationals since 2017, Mfantsiman Girls' SHS entered the arena seeking redemption.
However, Winneba SHS, keen on maintaining their winning streak, stood as a formidable obstacle on their path.
Their previous encounter in 2019, in which they emerged victorious, added an extra layer of intensity to the showdown.

The tension escalated in Round 3 as Winneba SHS solidified their lead, amassing crucial points that kept them ahead of the competition.
Mfantsiman Girls' SHS demonstrated resilience but found themselves struggling to bridge the gap.
At the end of the contest, Winneba SHS secured 45 points, Mfantsiman Girls' SHS 27 points, Efutu SHTS 18 points, Komenda SHTS 15 points and Gyaase SHS 10 points.
In a resounding victory, Winneba SHS emerged triumphant leaving no doubt about their superiority in the contest.
