The total number of advertised jobs went up by 15.0% year-on-year to 13,036 in the first four months of 2025.
Similarly, the number of jobs advertised in selected print and online media, which partially gauges labour demand in the economy, increased by 11.3% year-on-year in April 2025.
According to the Bank of Ghana, a total of 3,388 job advertisements were recorded, compared to 3,045 for the same period in 2024.
Also, on a month-on-month basis, the number of job vacancies in April 2025 increased by 6.4%.
Meanwhile, the total number of private sector Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) contributors, which partially gauges employment conditions, improved marginally by 0.8% to 1,040,013 in March 2025.
This is compared with 1,031,788 for the same period in 2024.
On a month-on-month basis, the total number of private sector contributors remained largely unchanged from the 1,044,974 individuals recorded in February 2025.
