The National Union of Seamen, Ports, and Allied Workers (NUSPAW) of TUC Ghana, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Ebow Mensah on his recent re-appointment as the Administrator of Premix Fuel.
"His appointment, made official on January 29, 2025, comes at a crucial time when his expertise is needed to support Ghana's marine and fishing sectors."
In a press release signed by the General Secretary, NUSPAW expressed its support for Mr. Mensah, acknowledging his vast experience and remarkable leadership qualities and highlighted his ability to manage resources efficiently.
The union praised his dynamic leadership in mobilizing and allocating limited resources effectively, particularly in times of scarcity, and his strong financial management skills in preventing wasteful spending.
NUSPAW also commended Mr. Mensah for his fairness and firmness in leadership. The release emphasised his commitment to treating individuals and corporate bodies equally while recognising their unique needs.
His ability to provide tailored support has helped create an environment of trust and cooperation within the sector.
NUSPAW noted his keen eye for identifying training gaps among staff and his consistent efforts to equip them with the necessary skills to improve productivity, noting that his leadership style fosters motivation and collaboration, helping teams achieve organisational goals efficiently.
The union stated that Mr. Mensah’s appointment was timely, aligning with the government’s Reset Agenda and the vision of a 24-hour economy in Ghana.
It has as Premix Fuel Administrator, he will play a crucial role in supporting the economic activities of the marine and fishing industries, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.
NUSPAW urged all stakeholders within the marine and freshwater artisanal fishing subsector to rally behind Mr. Mensah and offer him their full cooperation.
The union expressed confidence that his leadership would bring mutual benefits to all players in the sector and contribute to national development.
The union reaffirmed its belief in Mr. Mensah’s competence, leadership, and ability to drive positive change.
They emphasised that his experience, fairness, and innovative approach make him the right person to oversee the administration of Premix Fuel at such a critical time.
NUSPAW called on all industry stakeholders to support Mr Mensah in his mandate to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Premix Fuel administration for the benefit of the fishing sector and the broader Ghanaian economy.
