Kumasi Asante Kotoko have parted ways with David Duncan after both parties agreed on a mutual termination package.
David Duncan had been asked to step aside after matchday six following a poor start to the campaign.
A statement released by the club and signed by Board Chairman Paul Adu Gyamfi confirmed the departure.
“The Board of Directors of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club is pleased to announce to its teeming supporters and the general public that, the impasses between Kotoko and Coach Duncan has been amicably resolved and a mutual termination package agreed upon at a meeting held at the Kotoko Secretariat on Wednesday, 22 June, 2016.”
The former Hearts of Oak coach replaced Mas-Ud Didi Dramani 10 games into the last season and led Kotoko to a second place finish in the league as well as finishing second in the MTN FA Cup.
Duncan oversaw an impressive pre-season winning all four cups at stake for Kotoko but a poor start to the campaign meant he was asked to step aside.
The resolution between both parties comes after Life Patron of the Club, Otumfour Osei Tutu, directed they reach an amicable solution.
