Reports reaching myjoyonline.com indicates that oil tanker operators at the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) have gone on a sit down strike to protest the decision by authorities asking drivers to carry out the necessary safety measures with a private company before loading. The tanker operators told Adom FM’s reporter, Francis Aninakwah they were up in arms against the authorities for instituting a new rule that compels them to go through such safety measure examinations with a private company and not the State Transport Company which is a state owned entity. The drivers are said to have parked their cars and are threatening not to load until the authorities of TOR reverse the rule.Source: Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
