OLAM Ghana has donated Veronica buckets and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to MOFA in the Bono East Region as part of its contribution to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
This forms part of the company's decisions to support farming communities who continue to produce food for the urban population.
The items, worth ¢50,000 would be distributed to farming communities across the Bono East, Savanah and Bono Regions to help them practice effective hand washing.
Yussif Amankwa, Branch Manager of OLAM Ghana, donated the items to the Regional MOFA Director.

"We are doing this as part of our cooperate social responsibilities to ensure that the farmers whose operations are key towards the development of the country are protected from being infected with the virus". he said.
He added, "OLAM has taken this proactive step to enable farmers in these regions to observe the principle of regular hand washing in order to stay safe in the wake of the pandemic."
Receiving the items on behalf of MOFA, Regional Director Cecilia Kagya Agyemang lauded the group for the gesture adding "this would go a long way to contribute to the prevention of the pandemic in our farming communities."
She, however, called on the cooperate world to support rural communities in this difficult period as much attention is been placed on urban areas.
