Ghana attacker Mahatma Otoo marked his debut for Sogndal as they crashed to their sixth defeat of the season falling 2-1 to Molde at their favourite Fosshaugane Campus on Saturday.
The 21-year-old was introduced as a 56th minute replacement for Azar Karadas but he was unable to find the net on his debut for the club who have failed to record a win in their last six games of the season.
Senegalese Malick Mane scored first for Sogndal, the host, as early as the 24th minute but the visitors scored twice within two minutes in the second-half through Joona Toivio and Tommy Høiland.
Otoo showed sharp attacking abilities when he came off the bench but he failed to do the ultimate as his new side recorded defeat.
He joined the Norwegians for a reported fee of $400,000 after a botched move to Belgian side Club Brugge.
