The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana regrets the untimely death of His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills.
The late President took a keen interest in sports. He loved football and was once the chairman of the Black Stars management committee.
Throughout his career, he contributed positively to the careers of many sports personalities including footballers and motivated them to attain greater heights. He was proactive and attuned to the needs of footballers.
His trademark warmth extended to players and other members of the football fraternity.
On behalf of all our members, I would like to extend our condolences to his wife, son and the rest of his family.
May his soul rest in peace.
