Ghanaians go through various challenges on a daily basis.
#FixTheCountry was a movement that put all these challenges together for government's attention. While state actors take steps to address these challenges, many more emerge on a daily basis.
It is evident that as the various Municipal, Metropolitan and District Chief Executives assume duty, their jobs are cut for them.
“You have to familiarise yourself with everything, whether of your making or not. A Chief Executive, who is indifferent or unaware of government activities in his or her area, is not a suitable Chief Executive… Be reminded, however, that I will not hesitate to “disappoint” any MMDCE who does not live up to expectations,” President Akufo-Addo said at the orientation ceremony for MMDCEs on October, 26.
For some children resident in American Farm, a community in Ngleshie Amanfro jumping over makeshift bridges and streams to and from school, is a hurdle they overcome daily.
In the rainy season, their plight worsens. Yet they have to contend with this situation.
According to residents, construction work on a road that would resolve this challenge and bring relief to them, has stalled.
It is hoped that the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga South Municipality, Joseph Nyarni Stephen will avert his attention to the plight of these children before something bad happens to our future leaders.
