The Black Star Square in Accra is draped in solemnity as the nation comes together to bid a final farewell to the eight Ghanaians who perished in the August 6 military helicopter crash.
The state burial, marked by deep emotion and national pride, has drawn a large crowd of mourners, including top government officials, Members of Parliament, military chiefs, religious leaders, and diplomats.

Family members, friends, and well-wishers have filled the ceremonial grounds, paying their last respects to the fallen heroes whose service and sacrifice have left an indelible mark on the country.

The coffins, draped in the national flag, are lined in state as military pallbearers stand guard.

Dignitaries present are President John Mahama, Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, former President Nana Akufo-Addo, National Chief Imam Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, former President Agyekum Kufuor, Ministers of State, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Inspector-General of Police, amongst others.
