Running mate for NPP flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has ordered school furniture for 500 pupils of Kperisi Primary.
He made this known on Facebook after he visited the school on Friday.

Kperisi M.A. Primary School in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West region made the news yesterday after Joy News reported that the pupils were lying on the bare classroom floor to write due to lack of furniture.

Over 500 pupils of the School, lie prostrate on the dirty bare floor to write because they are without furniture.

Only two of the 56 pupils in this classroom can boast of a table and a chair their parents bought for them. The rest have no choice but lie prostrate on the bare floor.

Headmistress of the school, Rosina Diedong, said the pupils suffer waist problems as a result of lying on the floor to write.
She has rejected calls by the Wa Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to apologize for embarrassing the Assembly by seeking help from organizations.
