A plane passenger woke up during a 13-hour flight to find herself covered in body lotion, a court heard.
Nadeem Memhood Quraishi is accused of molesting the woman on board an Emirates plane in October last year.
The 42-year-old suspect is also said to have whispered "I love you, you're pretty" into the woman's ear as she slept.
It is claimed that when she woke up, the man asked the alleged victim - who is 25 and is known only as Stephanie - if she had slept well.
The flight took off from Dubai, headed for New York, during which the man is accused of using the bottle of Nivea lotion.
'Stephanie' told Brooklyn Federal Court: "My entire body felt sticky. I could smell the lotion.
"I was shocked.
"My heart dropped into my stomach."
After waking up, the woman felt that her "vaginal area was sore".
The lotion was on her shoulders, arms, breasts, thighs, calves and vagina, it was claimed in court.
She went to the bathroom on board the plane before returning and asking Mr Quraishi where her lotion was.
He then gave her the bottle.
When confronted by staff on the plane, it is alleged that Mr Quraishi told staff the woman "enjoyed it" and "needed it".
A court document read: "The defendant also told the flight attendants that he liked it and that it happened to him as a child."
Also giving evidence was flight attendant Gunjon Mangia.
It is claimed that Mr Quraishi admitted to applying the lotion to the woman after being quizzed by Mr Mangiam.
He added: "When I asked him why he did such a thing, he said: 'Well, I thought she needed it and she didn't offer any resistance so I thought she enjoyed it’."
Mr Quraishi denies a charge of sexual contact without consent.
