The Soil Research Institute (CSIR-SRI) has transformed all analogue soil information in Ghana into an interactive Soil Web-based Application platform.
This move is to ensure food security through efficient and sustainable use of soil resources in Ghana.
The Ministers in charge of Agriculture and Food Security of ECOWAS Member States resolved to work towards adequate food reserves by mobilizing and allocating significant resources to strengthen and expand community and private storages in the sub region, to achieve Sustainable Development Goal Two: “Eliminate Hunger, Achieve Food Security, Improve Nutrition, and Promote Sustainable Agriculture” and ensure food security in the sub regions.
Joy News' George Wiafe, is tonight hosting the following resource persons; Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture, Mohammed Hardi Tuferu, General Secretary of the Agriculture Workers Union, Edward Kareweh, Content Manager of Esoko Ghana, Francis Danso, on the Business Edition of PM Express at 9.00pm to discuss “the state of Ghana's food security."
