Police in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region has launched an investigation into the murder of the founder of Harmony with Jesus Ministry and his wife in Ayitikope.
The Volta Regional Public Relations Officer, Inspector Prince Dogbatsey, and the Volta Regional Police Commander in a joint press statement said preliminary investigations have revealed some personal belonging and cash of Apostle Augustine Gbedemah and Comfort Gbedema were stolen from the house.
The gruesome murder of the couple was suspected to have happened on July 20.
The Pastor's body was found on the main compound of his residence while his wife’s corpse was discovered in their room.
Some residents indicated that they suspect foul play, especially looking at the circumstances in which the corpses were found.
Inspector Dogbatsey assured the police commitment to finding the perpetrators and bringing them to book.Â
Meanwhile, the bodies have been deposited at the morgue for the autopsy.
