The Volta Regional Police Command is still searching for more perpetrators of last week’s violent agitations in Nkwanta North which was in protest against the President's nomination of Paul Levin Gyato as DCE for the area.
Although 26 of the irate National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth have been arrested for setting fire to 5 government vehicles and for destroying other properties.
Police say they are still searching for the main individuals who were behind the protests.
Regional Police Commander, ACP Kofi Asare told Joy News 7 of the 26 suspects have been released while the remaining 19 are still being screened.
He indicated that they fervently extracting information on the key people behind the demonstrations against the District Chief Executive nominee within 48 hours in order not violate their rights.
