The Sunyani municipal police have interrogated three persons in connection with the mysterious death of a 36 year old female teacher of Ridge Experimental School in Sunyani.
They are Mr. Francis K.E. Awuah, 79 and Mrs. Grace Mensah, parents of the deceased and Mr. Michael Hanson, her brother.
The deceased, Ms. Philomena Awuah was found dead with multiple stab wounds in her room at ‘Area Three’ in Sunyani on Tuesday.
Superintendent Charles Botwe, Municipal Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani that the police suspected foul play
in the mysterious death.
He said the invitation of the relatives became necessary because they were not co-operating with the police in the investigations.
“Looking at the trauma the deceased went through and a number of cuts on her body there is no evidence that she committed suicide”, Commander Botwe said.
He said the police was working hard to unravel the mystery surrounding the lady’s death and appealed to the general public to volunteer information to facilitate investigations.
