Police reinforcement has been sent to Kete-Krachi in the Volta region to pre-empt any breach of the law following a court order stopping the installation of a new Muslim community chief by a faction. Mr Paul Gyempe, Hohoe Divisional Police Commander, told the GNA that the situation was under control. He said though a controversy among factions in the Muslim community at Kete-Krachi as to who was the rightful Chief was undecided and pending at the courts, a faction at the weekend planned to install a chief. The Police, therefore, sought a court action on Friday to quash the intended installation and moved personnel from Hohoe and Ho to beef up security in the town to prevent any clashes among the factions.
