Residents of Ningo Prampram in the Dangme East of the Greater Accra Region risk being arrested if they jubilate after the verdict of the Supreme Court on Thursday.
The Acting President of the Ningo Traditional Council, Nene Atiapah II gave the warning, Tuesday during the celebration of this year's Homowo Festival.
Hundreds of spirited youth gathered to observe the annual Homowo celebration, Tuesday.
Nene Atiapah charged the youth to ensure that the peace of the country is consolidated even as the country awaits the verdict of the Supreme Court on the Presidential Election Petition.
He said any youth seen to be jubilating after the verdict will be arrested by the security services.
Multi TV's Gifty Andoh who was present at the festival ground also reported the chief as saying, the youth must guard against unprotected sex in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies and avoid being infected with STDs.
The Chief said plans are far advanced to build an airport in the area, and charged the youth to pursue higher education and be able to maximise benefits from the project.
The Chief later sprinkled Kpokpoi, the traditional food of the Gas and called on the ancestors and the Supreme being to shower their blessings on them in the coming year.
