Renault Ghana – Premium Motors Limited has presented two units of its brand-new Renault Kwid to the winners of the just-ended Ghana Boxing League.
The brief ceremony was held at the premises of Premium Motors Limited. The two winners comprised the overall Best Boxer and the overall Best Gym.
As many may recall, the final bouts of Ghana's boxing league climaxed with Charles Tetteh's victory for emerging as the best boxer by defeating rival John Quaye to win the National Super Featherweight Championship. The Charles Quartey Boxing Foundation also emerged as the Best Gym of the league.
The Chief Executive Officer of Renault Ghana-Premium Motors, Jihad Hijazi, presented the two cars to the winners respectively and congratulated them on their victory. He stated that one of the main objectives of the automobile company is to support the community at large, build talents and ensure that our homegrown boxers are projected globally.
He also added, "Renault is proud to be associated with such a successful event and we look forward to continuing this partnership.”
Charles Tetteh could not hide his excitement when he was handed the keys to the brand-new Renault Kwid. He said, “It’s a dream come true and I can’t thank Premium Motors enough for this amazing gesture. My ambition was to win the fights week on week and Renault has made it even more special by rewarding me with such an awesome car."

The Maiden edition of the boxing league, an initiative by the Ministry of sports in conjunction with Ghana Boxing Association, was promoted globally by Imax Media Group.
In attendance at the award ceremony were notable personalities including the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, Director of Operations at the Presidency, Lord Commey, President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Abraham Kotei Neequaye, Naana Adiki Manyeyo Adi 1, of Royal Adibiawe at Ada, Management and staff of Premium Motors Limited as well as Imax Media Group.
Essentially the overall success of the boxing league would not have been possible without the support and contributions of Premium Motors Limited as well as the other sponsors. The management team at Renault Ghana – Premium Motors Limited promises to make more rewards available for future events.
