President Kufuor has visited the Black Stars to inspire them ahead of Sunday’s quarter-finals encounter with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The match is the first of four quarter-final matches at the ongoing 26th MTN African Cup of Nations, Ghana 2008.
The visit followed another one by the president prior to the match between Ghana and Morocco, which Ghana won by two goals to nil.
Meanwhile, the captain of the Black Stars, John Mensah, has expressed preparedness of the team to work hard to win the match and qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.
He said he and his colleagues will not underrate the Nigerians but will play like wounded lions to beat their West African arch rivals.
The Black Stars made to the quarter-final stage by winning all three matches at the group stages and toping Group A with nine points.
