A member of the Presidential Guard and personal bodyguard of President Mills, ASP Emmanuel Adade has lost three children in a motor accident.
The children were said to be travelling to Akosombo when the vehicle in which they were travelling burst a tyre and somersaulted, leading to the instant death of one of the children, while the two others died at the VRA Hospital at Akosombo.
ASP Adade and his wife were reported to be on the same journey but traveled in a separate vehicle.
Sources at the Castle told Myjoyonline.com the presidency has been deeply shocked by the reported accident, which comes a little less than two years after ASP Adade lost his first wife, also in a motor accident.
Two of the children who died in the accident Sunday are said to be children of ASP Adade's new wife.
Joy News sources at the presidency say ASP Adade was so devastated by the tragic deaths that he threatened to end his own life.
