Propaganda Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Richard Quashigah has expressed surprise at questions raised over proxy voters register by the Spokesperson of the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams.
Quashigah said Kofi Adams forms an integral part of the National Executive of the party who is also a member of the planning committee for the congress. He has full knowledge of problems with proxy voters who number a little over 20.
According to the Propaganda Secretary, Kofi Adams also sat in all meetings which had to do with proxy voters and as such had no business to raise the alarm at this last minute.
Mr. Adams had complained on Thursday during an interview on Badwam programme on Adom TV, a channel Multi TV, over the delay in the release of proxy voters to candidates.
He claimed the proxy voters register should have been released two clear weeks before congress yet the directive had not been adhered to by the National Executives.
Quashigah however explained that the delay was caused by improper channels used by the voters when their documents were being processed and as such, the General Secretary had to call the executives to order for the proper things to be done.
