Juventus wrapped up their 9th successive Serie A title in what proved to be an intriguing season from start to finish. Inter Milan pushed them all the way with Lazio and Atalanta making a mark.
Ghanaian players were ever present as Fiorentina’s Alfred Duncan, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu of Hellas Verona, Inter Milan’s Kwadwo Asamoah and Nicholas Opoku of Udinese were all involved in what would go down as the longest Serie A season ever.
With the Serie A concluding over the weekend, the Joy Sports team have once again assessed the performances of the Ghanaian players.
Alfred Duncan - Fiorentina (7/10)

Alfred Duncan enjoyed spells with two different Serie A teams this season. In the first half, he impressed with Sassuolo and as a result attracted interest from Fiorentina who signed him on loan with an obligation to buy.
For Sassuolo, he was very crucial for the team playing 13 matches whilst scoring one goal and providing five assists. In the Fiorentina shirt, Duncan played 13 games scoring one goal and providing one assist - bringing his season tally to two goals and six assists.
With 0.31 assists per 90 minutes, Duncan ranked 10th in the whole of Serie A whereas he ranked 8th in league in terms of successful nutmegs.
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu - Hellas Verona (4/10)

A season to forget for the midfielder as he missed about five months of action after suffering from blood clots in his heart. However, the 29-year-old remained positive and recovered fully to help Hellas Verona conclude the season.
He featured in 10 games for Verona starting two of those. He maintained a pass accuracy of 87.5% in those games as he helped Verona secure a top 10 spot.
Agyemang-Badu will look to make more of an impact next season when he returns to his parent club Udinese. It is unknown yet as to whether he will seek for a move away or try a fight for a place in the team.
Kwadwo Asamoah - Inter Milan (5/10)

For the first time since 2015, Kwadwo Asamoah suffered three injuries in a single season. The left wing back missed 101 days due to injury, totaling to 18 games for Inter Milan.
As a result, Conte had to rely on other players as Asamoah could only play in eight Serie A games, starting seven. In these games he provided one assist.
His time at Inter however may be up soon with the signing of Hakimi coupled with the form of Biraghi and Young.
Nicholas Opoku - Udinese (3/10)

Barely had enough game time in Italy this season and ended up being loaned to Amiens during the winter transfer window.
Before being loaned out, Nicholas Opoku played in seven games, starting six of them. He managed eight interceptions and won five tackles in those games.
Amiens were expected to make the loan deal permanent if they stayed in Ligue 1 but they ended up relegated after the cancellation of the league. As a result, Opoku will return to Udinese and he's already been linked a host of clubs from France, Germany and Spain.
