The police in Half Assini have admitted to bail to a man who posed as the National Co-ordinator of the National School Feeding Programme.
The suspect who gave his name as Eric Amponsah is believed to have spent about a week in the Jomoro District, touring schools and addressing functions.
The Jomoro District Chief Executive, Vincent Kwabena, is reported to have accorded Amponsah undeserved courtesies including accommodation and a duty vehicle for his rounds.
The suspect was arrested only after the National Co-ordinator of the NSFP, Alhaji Sulemana Rahman, called the DCE to inform him of his planned trip to the district.
Alhaji Rahman said the suspect is not known to be an employee of the programme.
