The National Election Security Taskforce has urged security personnel across the country to participate fully in the Special Voting exercise scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024.
This call aims to ensure security agencies play their part in the electoral process while maintaining the integrity of the polls.
However, the exercise has been postponed in the Eastern and Western Regions due to the Electoral Commission’s decision to recall and reprint ballot papers over quality concerns.

Voting in these regions will now take place on Thursday, December 5, with the Electoral Commission assuring that the issue is being swiftly resolved to minimise disruptions.
In a statement, the Ghana Police Service reaffirmed the right of all security personnel to cast their votes, promising that those affected by the postponement will not lose their opportunity to participate.
“Those in the two regions will vote when the rescheduled date is confirmed by the Electoral Commission,” the statement emphasised.
