The State Housing Company (SHC) Limited has signed a contract with an Israeli company to deliver 20,000 housing units in Ghana.
The Isreali company, IDM International is a subsidiary of the Israeli Real Estate Construction giant, The Eldad Peri Group.
At the signing ceremony in Tel Aviv in Israel on Thursday, March 10, the Managing Director of SHC, Dr Samuel Sarpong, indicated that SHC is “poised to undertake this exercise to reduce the yawning housing deficit in Ghana.”
The Board Chairman of SHC, Kobina Fosu, reiterated the objectives of SHC to build homes to ease the housing problems encountered by Ghanaians.
He stated that this agreement is one of the joint venture agreements being signed with SHC’s foreign partners to improve the housing situation in Ghana.
Also present at the signing ceremony was the Technical Advisor to the Minister of State, Private Sector Development, Office of the Israeli President, Haj Abdul Rahman Abukari.
