Six people are confirmed dead and several injured in a fatal accident on the Nkawkwa- Kumasi road, Sunday.
The Nkawkaw MTTU boss, DSP Albert Deletsa, who confirmed the accident to Joy News said the accident involved a KIA preggio and a Mercedez benz bus carrying 23 passengers.
He said 18 people have been sent to the Holy Family Hospital in Nkwakaw for medical treatment with the deceased bodies sent to the morgue.
Narrating how the accident occurred, DSP Deletsa said the KIA collided with the benz bus just a few meters away from the Nkwkaw by-pass.
According to him, the benz bus slid into a ditch and caught fire in the process.
Five people were completely burnt beyond recognition with the driver of the KIA Preggio also dying on the spot.
The others are said to be receiving treatment.
