Information gathered by Joy News TV indicates that the murdered Oblogo chief Nii Kwaku Obibini II failed to seek police protection when he decided to return to the town several months after he was banished.
Nii Obibini II was shot and killed on Easter Sunday in a renewed chieftaincy clash which also saw the destruction of properties.
The Chief is said to have been reprimanded for allegedly aiding and abetting a crime against an opposing faction in the chieftaincy dispute.
When Joy News TV visited Oblogo Tuesday morning, calm had returned to the area with Police men deployed to maintain peace in the area.
However, two cars which were burnt during the riots on Sunday as well as broken windows were still available at the palace when the news team visited.
The palace itself looked abandoned with the backyard used as a rubbish dump and storage for plastic chairs.
Greater Accra Regional minister, Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo has since visited the community to ascertain the level of destruction.
He has also given the police administration three weeks to find the culprits of the crime.
