Spain's low cost carrier, Vueling is set to begin scheduled flights from June 20.
The airline plans to fly to Accra every Saturday, with its 180 seat Airbus A320s.This new route will enable passengers flying from Accra to connect via Barcelona with Vueling’s more than 155 destinations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Vueling Airlines was founded in 2004 as a low cost carrier and flies to more than 35 cities throughout Europe and the Mediterranean.
Based in El Prat de Llobregat, near Barcelona, Vueling's hubs and focus cities are Amsterdam, Bilbao, Ibiza (seasonal), Madrid, Málaga, Seville, Toulouse, Valencia and Barcelona.
Vueling is one of the airlines owned by the IAG group, along with BA and Iberia.
The industry publications Air Transport News and Agenttravel both named Vueling the world’s best budget airline in 2015.
