The Five-man Committee set up to investigate the floodlight failure at the Baba Yara stadium during a Brazil 2014 World cup qualifier will present their findings on Friday after asking for a two-day extension of their mandate.The committee chaired by Mr. Alex Daary, Ashanti Regional Director of the Bureau for National Investigations (BNI) was given one-week which ended on Tuesday to find out the cause of the blackout which occurred in the second half of the match between the Black Stars and Lesotho on June 1.The committee was suppose to present their report to the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah on Wednesday but according to sources they have requested for further two days to make a quick comprehensive report.According to the Spokesperson of the Ashanti Regional Minister Mr. Francis Dodovi, the Minister have agreed and accepted the request of the Committee.Regional Fire Officer, Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) Philip Aheng-Mensah, Mr. Emmanuel Anto, an Electrical Engineer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Mr. Opoku Anto, an Electrical Engineer with the Public Works Department (PWD) and Mr. Douglas Annorful, of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) are the other members of the Committee.
