Oil Marketing firm, Star Oil, paid GH¢2.7 billion in taxes and levies to the State, covering its operations from January 2026 to September 2026.
According to the firm’s year-to-date performance report, these payments covered several levies and taxes paid over the past nine months in 2026.
They included corporate income tax, withholding tax and Pay as You Earn (payee) as well as the Growth and Sustainability Levy.
The data showed that from January 2026 to September 2026, Star Oil sold 792 million litres of petroleum products, putting its market share at 15.78%.
Its total number of pump stations in Ghana also stood at 280 at the end of September 2026.
In terms of workforce, the oil marketing firm employed 3,106 people across the country.
