Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, says the win over Aduana Football Club has ignited the self belief in his players ahead of their game against Hearts of Oak.
The Porcupine Warriors ended their five-game winless streak in November when they picked up a 0-2 win in Dormaa against Aduana ensuring they moved to seventh on the league table.
Before the break, Kotoko also defeated Future Stars FC in the MTN FA Cup round of 64 stage to book a place in the next round.
Up next is the top liner against rivals Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, December 15. Looking ahead to the game, Ogum says his side's morale is high for the fixture.
"The win [against Aduana Stars] has brought some self-belief into the players. They now believe that they can do it," he said.
"They now believe it is doable. It is something that can be done, so going into our next game [against Hearts of Oak] we are going with a lot of confidence.
"The key thing for our next game is that players will be more confident and believe in themselves that everything is doable and we can do it."
Kotoko sit seventh and are one point behind the Accra-based side. However, they find themselves five points behind league leaders Bibiani GoldStars ahead of the matchday 13.
