Police in Tamale have arrested a man they suspect murdered a gold dealer at Bole last month.
Ernest Konan, 26, was arrested at his hideout in Wa in the Upper West Region.
He and three other suspects reportedly lured the gold dealer into a bush where he was shot, buried under a tree and an unspecified amount of money on him stolen.
The Police have since retrieved his decomposed body for burial.
The Public Relations Officer for the Northern Regional Police Command, Chief Inspector Ebenezer Tetteh told Joy News police investigations implicate the suspect.
According to him, Konan is believed to have supplied the weapon that was used to shoot the victim.
The police PRO said the victim was carrying huge sums of money and was lured by the suspect and his accomplices who killed the gold dealer and took his money.
Chief Inspector Ebenezer Tetteh said the four suspects will be arraigned before court this week.
