Synagogue Church of All Nations faces possible colsure after President Goodluck Jonathan visited the site of the collapsed building over the weekend.
The President during his visit promised to ensure that the incident is properly investigated and necessary action taken; to avert future reoccurrence.
He also promised to work with state Governors to check incidents of collapsed buildings in the country.
It could be recalled that a six-storey building belonging to the church collapsed last week and trapped over 80 persons to death while others sustained various degrees of injuries.
The church however, attributed the incident to a ‘strange’ aircraft, which it claimed was hovering around the church premises before the building collapsed.
Though investigations are still on to unravel what led to the incident, the Lagos State Government claimed that the General overseer of the church, Prophet TB Joshua, failed to obtain approval for the building, therefore the addition of more floors to the existing two-storey building was unlawful.
The state government said if there were any violation of relevant planning laws, the church would be shut down indefinitely.
