2009 African Coach of the Year, Sellas Tetteh, says he was the obvious choice for the award after putting in so much work under the year in review.
The New Rwanda boss managed to lift both the Africa and World Youth Championships with Ghana's Under-20 team.
Tetteh beat off competition from TP Mazembe coach Diego Garzitto and Nigeria's Under-17 coach John Obuh to emulate his mentor Cecil Jones Attuquayfio.
He feels his records earned him the continent's top most coaching accolade.
"My credentials show clearly and what I have done with the Under-20s was too much for anybody to ignore so at least it was so clear," Sellas Tetteh said
"It is self-satisfaction that there's dignity in labour. You work very hard, you get good results and I'm very lucky and am one in a million and it has happen to me and I so love that."
