The world’s most precious single malt scotch whisky recently hosted elites across Accra’s vibrant entertainment and business industries to an exclusive three-course dinner and whisky pairing at the Country Club, Trasacco, Ghana.
Rashid Mugeez, one-half of popular Ghanaian hip hop group, R2Bees; Zynnell Zuh and Haillie Sumney, actresses; Ruth Quarshie, former Miss Universe Ghana; and Kwadwo Saka Addo-Mensah, Managing Director, Saka Homes, were some of the top-rated personalities at the event where guests experienced the luxury behind the world’s incomparable whisky.

Invitees were treated to a delectable Macallan-infused dinner prepared by the Club’s chef – Bismark Amoako. With guidance on the rich history of the brand from The Macallan Brand Ambassador, Lebanon, West, and Central Africa, Sandra Gedeon, the gourmet meals were paired perfectly with the Macallan whisky, as guests enjoyed musical interludes. Titled “The Macallan Experience,” it featured the core Macallan range.

The Customer Marketing Manager for West & North Africa, of Edrington, Abayomi Ajao, said: “The Macallan’s reputation for the extraordinary is characterised by the exceptional oak casks for which our whisky is renowned. Sourced, crafted, toasted and seasoned under the watchful eye of The Macallan Master of Wood, the hand-picked casks are delivered to the demanding specifications of The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team.
We carefully select the finest quality spirit from our stills to ensure we create the best single malt whisky. This finest cut ensures we produce our signature viscous mouth-feel and fruity aroma and flavour.
This small portion or ‘cut’ is incredibly selective and one of the finest in the industry. It is primarily responsible for the full-bodied richness of The Macallan new make spirit.”
He continued: “while curating this event, it was important for us to reiterate our key values like craftsmanship, creativity, innovation and sustainability. All of these informed the select list of some of the finest across the industry present here today.”
The Macallan’s reputation for quality and craftsmanship, inspired by vital contributing influences of Spain, North America, and Scotland, has made it an incomparable single-malt whisky since its founding in 1824.
