It was yet another crowd puller as thousands joined the Luv FM Health Walk to promote physical fitness.
The two-hour exercise from the Kumasi Mall to through major streets in the city recorded one of the biggest participation for a single event in recent times.
For a moment, any casual observer would take them for soccer fans filing out of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium after a typical Asante Kotoko match.
Then, suddenly, they remember it is the Luv FM Health Walk, the first edition for 2019 christened, ‘’Walk with the Family’’.
From Kumasi City Mall through to West of Asokwa, Nhyiaeso, Adum, Asem, Amakom and back to the mall at Asokwa, the milling crowd went beyond hundreds into thousands.
Corporate Kumasi , the military and other security services, schools keep-fit and social clubs were heavily represented alongside individuals.
The fun and excitement that came with the physical activity sent passionate participants into frenzy as ‘jama’ and brass band groups provided the tonic.
There was hardly space for the aerobic session as vehicles had taken over the huge space at the mall.
Octogenarian, Egya Kofi Bour, stole the show and rewarded as the oldest walker while David three-year old David Gyan, spotting the trademark No. 10 Messi jersey, was youngest.
