The police have arrested three suspects in connection with the recent serial murders at Tefle near Sogakofe in the Volta region.
This was disclosed at the news briefing by the Homicide Unit of the Police CID at the Headquarters Thursday.
Joy FM’s Julius Ceaser who was at the Police Headquarters reported that the suspects included a 70-year old man. He said one of them had not yet been identified because he was deaf and dumb.
Meanwhile the Director General-CID, Prosper Agblor, told Joy News in an interview that though the police have not yet concluded their investigations; they have enough evidence to link the three to the murders.
He said a docket prepared on the case had been forwarded to the office of the Attorney General for advice but assured that prosecution will start soon.
According the Prosper Agblor, all five murders followed the same fashion: there were marks on the victims with their legs opened, they were half naked and two of them had red bands on their hands.
