Telecom company Tigo in partnership with mobile content provider, 2CTV, have launched Tigo Mobile TV, a new service which allows customers to watch uninterrupted live television on their phones.
With over 25 channels, Tigo Mobile TV offers customers a wide variety of content including both local and international.
They range from news to football, movies and religious channels. Some of the channels include UTV, GHOne, Joy Prime, Adom TV, CNN, and the BBC just to mention a few.
In providing the best experience, Tigo is offering a one month free subscription to its customers from March 24, 2017.
The Chief Commercial Officer for Tigo, Tara Squire, emphasised, “With this service, everybody on our network can watch their favourite television programme on-the-go, right from their homes, office or while commuting. We are in the digital age where ensuring ease and convenience are important to customer experience and satisfaction.”
He revealed with the completion of Tigo’s dual carrier expansion on the network to increase capacity and improve data speeds, customers will enjoy a seamless and uninterrupted mobile television experience.
The General Manager of 2CTV, Bright Yeboah, is excited about the innovation which will deliver greater value to customers.
“This is a 24/7 service which will give Ghanaians access to a wide range of the most popular free-to-air television stations in Ghana and international satellite networks.
"Based on our knowledge of the market, the service is available on high-end phones, basic smartphones and some features phones – we want to ensure wider inclusion,” he said.
To enjoy the service, customers will need to download the 2CTV app and subscribe. After the one month free subscription, customers will have to opt for the various packages which include daily, weekly and monthly offers.
