Torgbui Salu III of Anlo Afiadenyigba has called on Ghanaians to ensure peace and unity during elections, urging citizens to resist any political groups that seek to incite violence or disrupt the country's peace.
He emphasized that traditional rulers must refuse to accommodate politicians who attempt to use their people for such destructive purposes.
In his speech, delivered during the celebration of his 70th anniversary on the throne, Torgbui Salu III highlighted the need for traditional authorities to maintain neutrality and send a strong message against political violence. His anniversary celebration was themed, “The Changing Landscape of Traditional Leadership: Repositioning the Salu Stool for Community Development.”

Torgbui Salu also called for unity among chiefs and community members, stressing the importance of working together for the progress of Anlo Afiadenyigba. He reiterated his commitment to developing the town by providing essential services, including clean water, schools, healthcare, and job opportunities.
As part of his long-term vision, he announced plans to build an ultra-modern palace and a multi-purpose sports complex.

The Salu Stool's secretary, Mr. Senyo Bliss Salu, outlined some of the achievements of Torgbui Salu's reign, including his contributions to land donations for community development projects, such as expanding the Roman Catholic Junior High School and constructing a water distribution office for the town.
Torgbui Salu III, born on January 13, 1950, was enstooled at the young age of four on March 28, 1954. He pursued an education in various institutions, including Anlo Secondary School, and later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Throughout his career, he served in various capacities in Ghana's education sector, rising to the rank of Assistant Director of Education before his retirement in 2010.
Reflecting on his legacy, Torgbui Salu is credited with overseeing significant development in Anlo Afiadenyigba. His most notable contributions include donating land for key projects, such as the construction of schools and water facilities, and spearheading efforts to build a library and computer laboratory for the town's youth.
As Torgbui Salu III continues to lead Anlo Afiadenyigba, his vision for peace, unity, and sustainable development remains central to his reign, cementing his legacy as a transformative leader in the community.
