A Cape Coast Circuit Court has remanded two drivers, Kofi Boateng,32, and Nana Agyemang, 28, into police custody for allegedly stealing four live goats worth GH¢700.00 at Jukwa near Cape Coast in the Central Region.
Their pleas were not taken and will be re-arraigned on Friday, February 7.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Charles Hevi, told the court presided over by Mrs. Florence Okai Otu that in the early hours of December 26 last year, Kofi and Nana conspired and stole four live goats and hid them in the Jukwa community cemetery.
Chief Inspector Hevi said a hunter who was returning from a hunting expedition spotted the animals and alerted an elder at the palace who in turn informed the police which led to the arrest of the two persons.
