A man believed to be in his late 20s has committed suicide by hanging himself in a tomato farm near Saaki-Kpone Police Barrier in the Tema municipality, according to a police statement. The statement, signed by Police Chief Inspector Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, Tema Regional Police Public Affairs Officer, stated that the body of the man, "dark in complexion", was found hanging on a tree branch on August 1, 2007 at about 0920 hours. The deceased was wearing a short-sleeved tie-and-dye shirt over a light blue jeans trousers and wearing bathroom slippers. The statement said the deceased's identity had not yet been established.
