The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) have hit Alianza Huanaco striker Willigton Smith with a colossal 14-game ban after the Brazilian poleaxed Deportivo Municipal defender Omar Cuya with a reckless "tackle" that looked more like a finishing move from Mortal Kombat than a concerted effort to seize back possession.
With Alianza 1-0 up during their Segunda Division game against Deportivo, Smith flew through an initial challenge with his feet flailing, only to collide heavily with Cuya - duly planting his studs in his opponent's face and knocking him flat out, earning a straight red card in the process...
